Organic matcha green tea – this stuff is magic!

The blog has been on a short hiatus and now we are back and better than ever!  It has been a long New England winter and it appears that spring has sprung.  Well, sort of.  The folks over at www.kissmeorganics.com reached out to me with a fabulous product that they sell over at amazon.com.  Pretty cool, right?  But this tea is not your average green tea.  This is like the Cadillac of green teas.  We know that green teas are great for us (don’t we?) but this tea comes in a powder and they say that it contains 137 times the antioxidants of brewed green tea!  Say what? How do they calculate that?  Oh, who cares?  That is potent.  Now we are talking

And here’s what else:  I always think of green tea as something you sip warmly from a mug, right?  Well, the matcha green tea powder that they sent me does so much more.  You can make smoothies.  Lattes.  Did someone say lattes?  These people are speaking my language.  You know how much I like lattes.  Matcha Butter Cookies.  Chocolate Rum Matcha Truffles.  Are you kidding me?  When you order a packet of tea it comes with a complimentary recipe book which contains over a 100 ways to add green tea to your diet.  My personal favorite is the Matcha Orange Cocktail.  It is easy to make (I love easy) and it powered me up in the morning.  I am going to need some help with the lemon matcha waffles because, well, I may be a bit culinary challenged?  My microwave doesn’t think so but those waffles sure sound amazing.

So here is the important stuff:  Click on the link below to order your Organic Matcha tea.  You will love the taste and all the health benefits.  And some more exciting news is, I am now an affiliate of amazon as well.  So every time you want to buy your green tea or any wonderful product Amazon offers, you can shop through my affiliate link Shop at Amazon.com! and keep the blog in business!  Thank you for your support.  Happy shopping!  Happy Spring!

Keep calm and buy Mom a T-shirt

Okay, dear readers, you must check this out!  If you have been following the blog and I hope you have, you know I frequently promote great products and services.  But today I am promoting a product created by me.  Yes, yours truly.  C’est moi!  The blog is branching out and selling products!   I am offering my very own T-shirt for Mother’s Day.  It is the first T shirt that I have collaborated on.  I hope there are many more products to follow.  Yes, I came up with the idea for this shirt!   And trust me, it is not as easy as you would think.  But it sure is fun.  Well, in a scary sort of way.  Like, gulp,  Will anyone like it?

So here is what you need to do:  Go to http://teespring.com/keepcalmgetmom and get out your credit card to reserve a wonderful, high quality T-shirt for the fabulous lady in your life:  Mom!  Or buy one for yourself.  It is only $20.  The shirt reads ‘Keep calm and go get Mom’ because let’s face it, in a crisis or in happy times, who do you call first?  Not ghostbusters!  You call Mom!  Right?  Mom is on the job and available 24/7.

Now, I only have to sell 15 shirts for the product to be printed.  Well, technically, 14 because you know I will buy one.  Right?  How could I not?  But I am hoping to sell many more.  Like, in the hundreds even.  In the meanwhile, I will keep calm and let the orders roll in. The campaign will only last 3 weeks so the T’s have time to ship.  Thank you for the support.  Here is the link one more time (just in case you forgot, wink, winkhttp://teespring.com/keepcalmgetmom

Do not miss this perfume giveaway!

Recently, one of my friends said to me, “What is this about your blog and some Louboutin giveaway?”  Umm, that was weeks ago.  She continued in a genuine and animated manner, “How come I didn’t know about it?”  Umm, I guess you are not reading it?  What can I say?  But it’s all good because the ideas and giveaways keep rolling in and the audience keeps growing.  The rock is getting easier to push.  Or is the hill less steep?  I am not sure.  Anyway, I want to tell you about a giveaway that combines books and perfume and when it rolled into the blog pipeline, I had to think, ‘Could it get any better than this?’  I love books.  I love perfume.  Who doesn’t love at least one of them, right?  And now someone is designing perfume based on imaginary books and characters?  So it is quirky, too.  Love that!

The perfume designer is Josh Meyer and he blends a variety of ingredients and creates an imaginary author and storyline around the scent.  I have not had the pleasure of smelling the fragrances yet  (I am always available for such a task, though, hint, hint), but the lucky and talented ladies over at the blog www.littleyellowcouch.com have and they are hosting the giveaway.  The scents have cool names like Cape Heartache and Falling into the Sea.  Oh, these are dramatic, huh?  The packaging is magnificent; so artsy and cool.  They would be like objets d’art on your cosmetic table.  I am not kidding.  The packaging makes me wish I had tried harder in my French classes.  I don’t know why but ooh la la.

The giveaway is for 3 sample sets so each lucky winner will get to try several of Josh’s fragrances.  How wonderful is that?  But you have to act quickly because the contest ends Monday, March 24 at 12 am EST and is open to US residents only.  Don’t miss out!  Here is the link to enter this fabulous contest:  http://littleyellowcouch.com/living-a-connected-life/2014/3/19/imaginary-au…  Happy spritzing!
